जारि फिसा (Jari Phisa)

Scientific name: Spilanthes paniculata Wall. ex. D.C. 

Family: Asteraceae

It is traditionally used as wild edible leafy vegetables along with the young shoots. It is found naturally grown in vegetable gardens as well as collected wild from wasteland. It is also known as Jari which consists of two syllables i.e, JA-RI. The term refers to the meaning of ‘enchanting’ to someone and is used to cure sore mouth, toothache, wounds etc.
