माइसुनद्रि (Maisundri)

Scientific name: Houttuynia cordata T hunb.

Family: Saururaceae

A kind of pot herb used in curry as a spice. It is cultivated at homestead and has a unique scented smell. It is also use for medicinal purpose. The juice extracted from its root is used to treat stomach pain or to cure stomach problem. Every part of the plant- roots, stems and leaves are used for consumption and in comparison, to curry its basic use is in chutney
