Khamplu
'Khamplu' is a basket made of bamboo. The rim of the basket is round and woven by using cane strips. A square frame is fixed at the base for standing it in erect position, the maximum height of Khamplu is 19 cm and maximum diameter is 36 cm. There is no lid made or used for Khamplu, Khamplu is traditionally hand crafted by the Dimasa menfolk.
'Khamplu' is one of the traditional bamboo made and heritage item of Dimasa people. The uses and making of Khamplu is still prevalent in Dimasa society. It is mainly used in Dimasa wedding rituals to carry necessary items from groom's place to the bride's place. These days it is also available for purchase from any Dimasa menfolk who craft it for selling purpose.
