खादा (Khada)

Summary: 
Khada is a container made of bamboo and nicely painted with cow dung. It is properly dried under the sun before put to use. It is used as a basket to store rice or paddy and to carry things from one place to another. Some use it as a measuring tool also.
Traditional Knowledge: 

Khada is made up of knotted bamboo sticks and it is used for carrying grains of cereals, pulses etc. This bamboo-made basket is plastered with cow dung so that grains or pulses do not fall out of the basket. The length of Khada measures 38 cm in length and 38 cm in breadth. It is operated by both male and female workers.
