संग्राइ (Songrai)

The Songrai can be used for winnowing any kinds of dry seeds to separate from chaffs or unwanted husks. The grains are tossed on Songrai. The heavy grains fall back and the husks blow away. Songrai is woven with bamboo and the shape is generally round. Sometimes Songrai can also be used as a container for drying seeds, grains, fish, meat etc.
