सानद्रि is a  circular bamboo sieve. It is made from bamboo, the bamboo is sliced into thin slides and weaved, the use of सानद्रि is mainly used for separating the husk and the small broken rice from the rice grain. सानद्रि  is also used to get  finer rice flour after pounding. It also has importance in marriage, the groom and the bride are welcomed with the सानद्रि used as a tray to hold the lighted lamp, incense stick, flower etc. The size of  सानद्रि is 40 cm. Sandri is a smaller kind of sieve used for the separation of different kinds of grain for the elimination of a lien material using a woven screen such as a mesh or net made of split knotted bamboo where the working area is tied to the border made of bamboo with the help of metal wire or raiding (wild leaf used for tying). It is generally operated by a female worker.
