‍जेखाइ (Jekhai)

‍Jekhai is a fishing tool used by the Bodo community. It is made from bamboo strips.
Cultural Narrative: 

Jekhai is commonly used by women. The shape is usually triangular or conical and has two sides that are 2 feet each. It is woven in the hexagonal method and small holes are made in it so that water can pass through it. The bamboo strips for wrapping and weaving are arranged at a distance of at least one centimeter. It has a handle and a lanyard to hold it in the water while fishing. The joining part of the upper part is the diagonal of the triangle.
