Description: 

This monument is known as “Barodwar” and it is situated in Khaspur Rajbari, Cachar. This monument was built by King Harishchandra Narayan Hasnu in the year 1771. The name “Barodwar” comes from the 12 doors that this fortress had, the king used to hold court here and do meeting with the people of his kingdom. The practice of performing kirtans and Rasleela were also done here.

Romaranjan- Ebuke duha “Barodwar” thihi thire, eraha manang ha Raja Harishchandra Narayan Hasnu bo dangbane 1771 sal ha odehe thihi jing laishi ha maidu odehe bo somoy ha dangbani grao jaboka eboha, eraha mel khamre eraha raja khamdada bo bichar klaire graode ebu mashi bichar ni hathani, eraha raja joto projaraoni bichar buthu snadi gaja jadu bu raji ha bo hamba-hamya ashba bicharke bo eraha khamdada bichar klairene thihi jing kharmin khanare.

Romaranjan- This is known as “Barodwar”, it was built by the King Harishchandra Narayan Hasnu in the year 1771 and also written same in the documents. At that time, the reason for making it was that the meetings used to be held here and the king used to give his decisions by sitting here so it was like a meeting place. At this place the king used to sit and hear out the problems of his people. We have also heard in stories that this used to king’s meeting place.
