As shown in the video a traditional healer (Sukhi Barman) is performing the healing technique on Shushant warisa of Joypur village, she has taken 7 leaves of fern and dusted the affected body part of him with the help of those fern leaves till the completion of healing chants or spells. it is said that after the completion of healing chants the color of those fern leaves turn out dark in color as it is believed by them that the leaves soaked out the poison from the affected body part of a person. The powder of dried fern leaves can also be applied on the shingles as it helps in healing. Healing for shingles is performed by both Dimasa men and women but in case of women healer they cannot preform the healing technique with their hair tied.
