Gloss: My name is Madhumangal Khersa. According to our forefathers, Deity worshipped by Govinda Chandra Hasnu and Krishna Chandra Hasnu at Khaspur and also in Haritikor was moved to Raidilung. People belonging to Manipuri community moved the deity worshipped by Govinda Chandra to Raidilung. After placing the deity there, they couldn’t move it any further. Manipuris couldn’t move it anymore and the deity remained at Marda. Thereafter Dimasa people of Marda then began worshipping the deity on every Tuesday and Saturday since then. Back then whenever non-Dimasa offers puja to the deity, it felt like it did not want to be worshipped by them other than Dimasa. The Manipuris tried every possible way using carts and cycle but they failed to move the deity, they even suffered from diseases while trying to move it. In this way Dimasa people of reserve area, began worshipping the deity. They named the deity Shivarai Gamadi. Priests from different places started to worship the deity but were unable to continue because they were accustomed to the worshipping method by sacrifice. People of Marda offers fruits to the deity as they believed that the God do not accept method of sacrifice. By offering fruits while worshipping everything is peaceful in the village.
