It is a beaded necklace with silver stones in a polygonal shape and orange beads worn as a single piece of ornament. Phuwal can be both small and medium-large in size.

Cultural Narrative: 

Dimasa women adorn phuwal along with other ornaments such as chandrawal, rangbarsa and jonsama during Busu festival, wedding ceremonies, and other festivities. Phuwal is the only ornament that can be worn by both men and women in Dimasa community. However, only women wear phuwal mostly with their dress.
