Yeast cake used for making rice wine by Dimasa community.

Hamao/Humao is made with rice flour mix with tembra () grinded and mix together in a mortar. After that the mixture is shaped into a cake and dried up for fermentation of cooked rice. For the purpose of fermentation, the dried cake is further grinded and mixed together with cooked rice to make rice wine. It is believed by the community people that in the process of making a single piece of a hamao should be made in a different shape (as you can see oval shape in the picture) which is regarded to be as male humao/hamao and others are female. It is state that absence of male humao/hamao will alter the capability of all other humao/hamao.
