Bir Sambudhan Phonglo was born in 1850 at Longkhor, Dima Hasao, later moving over to Gonjung. Since childhood, his nature was different and unique from other children. As unlike other friends, he liked to play or do courageous activities which helped him to be fearless and lionhearted kind of person that never surrenders before the enemies.
